What the pilot does

One view for replies, other actions and informational email.

It reads a bounded Outlook preview, records compact results and leaves every mailbox action to you.

Replies, separated

Open a separate view for messages that appear to need a reply.

Priority with reasons

See the stated reasons behind each suggested priority.

Caution, explained

Suspicious details are shown as signals to check, never as a promise that email is safe.

Drafts you control

Edit, shorten, change the tone or copy a draft. This product cannot send it.

More than one inbox

Switch between separately connected Outlook accounts without mixing their data.

Checks in the cloud

Your phone and computer can be off when the scheduled check runs.

What does Threadglance actually do?

Threadglance reviews bounded previews from your Outlook Inbox and organises current results into Reply required, Reply optional, No reply and Review unclear. It adds concise summaries and reasons to help you decide what to inspect first. The analysis can be wrong, so the message remains the source of truth.

Why does Outlook ask me to approve Mail.Read?

Mail.Read is Microsoft’s mailbox-wide delegated read permission. Threadglance narrows routine checks to Inbox messages and selected fields. If you explicitly create a writing profile, it also reads one bounded Sent Items sample. Threadglance does not request Mail.Send or Mail.ReadWrite.

Can Threadglance send, delete or move my email?

No. It also cannot mark messages as read. The current product has no Outlook write or send permission, and no route that performs mailbox actions. You carry out every action yourself in Outlook.

Do automatic checks run while my devices are off?

Once automatic checks are active and you choose a schedule, checks run in the cloud. Your phone and computer do not need to be on or online. Checks stop if you pause the schedule, disconnect the mailbox or Microsoft requires you to reconnect.

How does it separate emails that need a response?

Each completed current analysis gives a message one of five decisions: Reply required, Reply optional, Action without reply, Informational or Uncertain. The dashboard separates these into reply, no-reply and review views. Uncertain or unavailable analysis stays in Review unclear rather than being treated as No reply.

Can I edit a suggested reply?

Yes. You can type directly in the draft, request a clearer, shorter, warmer or more formal version, reset to the original suggestion and copy the result. Nothing is saved to Outlook or sent. Threadglance may withhold a draft when more review is needed.

How is my Outlook account connected and what is stored?

Signing in to Threadglance and approving Outlook are separate steps. Connection tokens and the mailbox change cursor are kept in encrypted server-side storage. Threadglance may store selected message details and compact results such as sender, subject, summary, reply decision and suggested draft. It does not store the raw body preview or fetch attachments.

What happens when I disconnect?

Disconnecting a selected mailbox stops its schedule and deletes Threadglance’s token cache, message results, scan history and writing-style profile for that mailbox. It does not change Outlook email or revoke Microsoft’s separate app grant. A minimal disconnected record remains, and you can revoke the Microsoft grant separately in your Microsoft account.
